Bonnie Ernestine Wright Stover

Bonnie, 84, went to be with the Lord after a long illness in Granbury, TX. Bonnie was the sixth of seven children born to John and Dimple Mitchell in Amarillo, TX. She was known as Ernestine or "Ernie" until her 1975 marriage to Glenn (Smokey) Stover, who always called her Bonnie. She is survived by her sister, Ginger Mitchell; nine children and stepchildren, Bob Stover, Reggie Wright, Kathi Adams, Jeff Stover, Carolyn Garcia, Carolyn Slaughter, Tom Wright, Beverly Stover and Linda Grant; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was known for her deep Christian faith and love of the Bible. She devoted herself to learning God's Word and teaching others. She rarely raised her voice; one arched eyebrow usually kept her offspring in line. She saved what was important to her, so it was not surprising to find crayon drawings from grandchildren, greeting cards from friends, and love letters from her late husband among her possessions.

Though she is greatly missed, we know she is finally healthy, happy and Home. "Tell them all, I'm glad you were in my dash," 5/16/33 - 9/29/17.

A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at Sandia Baptist Church, Albuquerque, NM on Saturday 03/17/18 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
