Estrada-Brannock, Carla Marie

Carla M. Estrada-Brannock, age 51, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. Carla was born on Cinco de Mayo, May 5, 1966 and was raised and resided in her precious Albuquerque, NM that she loved so much.

Carla will be remembered for her passion in the field of Early Childhood Education, in which she earned 3 degrees. Nobody took the field of educating the next educators, children and their families, as seriously as Carla. Her goal was to always teach to the highest level of integrity and to ensure that future generations would lead positive and successful lives. Her love of teaching also led her to teach Spin classes, with the same drive in order to help others live healthy lives.

Carla is survived by her loving husband, Dan, parents Steve and Eleanor, brother Louis and his wife Debi and their three children, Gabi, Steven and David. Also, touching Carla's life was her dearest cousin (sister) Stefanie Luna and Jeff Tomlinson. She also leaves behind many cherished, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends and her pride and joy, two beautiful puppies, Marshall & Wendell. Also special to her were her dear families and colleagues at Defined Fitness and CNM.

A Rosary and Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at 10:30 am at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church 8901 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. A reception will follow the Mass. Internment will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming NE, Alb, NM 87109 at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to

in Carla's honor. This scholarship fund is established, to help students stay in school when faced with financial challenges such as childcare or transportation issues; so that they may achieve their educational goals.

The Estrada and Brannock families want to thank everyone for your sympathetic and loving support throughout this difficult time. We are blessed to have so many kind, caring and loving family, friends and colleagues in our lives.
