Lujan, Carlos "Chuck"



Carlos "Chuck" Lujan, 37, of Santa Fe, NM, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016. Chuck was born in Albuquerque, NM on December 19th, 1978.

He is survived by his parents Rudy and Fermie Lujan; brother Manny Lujan; sister Mona Lujan and husband Brent. He is also survived by many uncles and aunts who loved him dearly.

Chuck is a 1997 graduate of St. Michael's High School where he participated in football and baseball. He received a baseball scholarship to Newman University in Wichita, Kansas from which he graduated with a BA in Business Administration and Marketing degree.

Chuck was a highly respected and well-loved member of the Albuquerque community, beginning as an agent at Insurance Exchange and becoming an owner of Brown, Seligman, and Thomas Insurance Agency in 2012. BS & T is one of the oldest and most established agencies in the state, tracing its roots back to the 1920's. The IIANM (Independent Insurance Agents of New Mexico) recognized BS & T as the oldest home-owned Independent Insurance agency in the state of New Mexico. Chuck resided in Albuquerque and was very active in the Albuquerque softball leagues and loved to play golf.

Chuck is preceded in death by his grandparents Louis G. Martinez / Ramona Martinez, Jose G. Lujan / Mary A. Lujan, uncle Tony Lujan, aunts Rosella Castellano, Nadine Day and his cousin Albertano C de Baca.

The viewing will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 E. Rodeo Rd. (505-989-7032) on Wednesday at 6pm with a Rosary to follow at 7p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Santa Maria de La Paz on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Santa Fe Memorial Gardens, 417 E. Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM.
