Albuquerque resident Catherine "Cathe" Lambert passed away quietly Friday March 11, 2016 at Pomerado Hospital in Poway, California where she had been visiting family. Cathe was second generation Californian born in Watsonville in 1940. She married Vic Lambert (1935-2004) in 1960 and together raised three children.

She lived in Poway for 38 years before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2010. Cathe and Vic served on the board for many years at the Poway Senior Center, where Cathe also taught doll making. She became active at the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center in Albuquerque where she enjoyed a new passion in beading and recently took up teaching again. She also became interested in leather working at the Bear Canyon Senior Center. Cathe was accomplished at all types of arts and crafts over the years, including becoming a Master Doll Maker. In most recent years she won several prizes at the New Mexico State Fair with her beaded jewelry creations, including first prize and best of show. She had a passion for gardening and cooking and was active in the Poway Women's Club. She also enjoyed tea parties, and spending time with her friends.

Cathe is survived by a brother; three children; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Cathe's friends will remember her dedication, creativity and generosity. It was Cathe's wish to be interred near her sister in Santa Nella, CA. Please sign the on-line guest book at legacy.com
