Charles Frederick Youberg Obituary
Youberg, Charles Frederick

Charles F. "Chuck" Youberg, at 92 years of age, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Oct 24, 2016.

He was a man of great integrity and loved by so many.

He is survived by his wife, Juliet Youberg; three children, Fred, Allan, and Carol; two stepchildren, Susan and Dawn; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother David; and sister Margaret.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bette Youberg, and great-grandson, Gavin Price.

He was born in Denver and grew up in Kremmling, CO. In 1942, he was drafted into the Army at the beginning of WWII. He served 4 years in Italy & France and was awarded two purple hearts. He then served three additional years in the reserves as a photo interpreter during the Korean Conflict.

He completed his education at Colorado State University and received his degree as a soil scientist/agronomist. For 33 years, he was employed by the Dept. of Agriculture and worked in Goodland, KS, Washington D.C., & Albuquerque, NM. He retired in 1978 as the Assistant State Conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service, UDSA.

In the 1960s, Chuck was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed remodeling Volkswagens and a 1929 Model A Ford.

Since his retirement, Chuck and Juliet have led a full life. They enjoyed their families and have traveled extensively. They were active members at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. But most importantly, Chuck was the New York Yankees #1 fan.

In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to Chuck's favorite charitiesâ€"Albuquerque Rescue Mission, Joy Junction, or The Storehouse.

Chuck, our memories of you will be kept safely in our heartsâ€"until we see you again!

There is no death,

only a change of worlds.
