Gallegos, Christopher L.

Christopher L. Gallegos, age 30, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Chris lived life full speed ahead with an immeasurable amount of love for his family and friends. He loved music, biking, adventure and the outdoors. Chris is best known as "Uncle Bobby" to his niece and nephews who filled him with pride and joy. He worked as a corrections officer at the Metropolitan Detention Center and will always share an unbreakable bond with his fellow officers. Chris was devoted to living life to the fullest. His infectious smile, zest for life and joyful demeanor kept his life full and his friends and family laughing.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Gallegos Sr.; grandfather, Mickey Sanchez; and grandmother, Nancy Gallegos. Chris is survived by his parents, Larry and Diana Gallegos; siblings, Jason and Caitlin Gallegos, Jessica and Anastasia Gallegos, Krystal and Anthony Salazar; nephews, Izaiah and Jude; niece, Ayva; grandmother, Colfita Sanchez; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

We'll mourn the man who's gone, the son, brother, uncle and friend. We'll treasure the fullness of the life he lived; despite his too soon death and we'll remember him with that same fullness in our hearts.

All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. A Viewing will be held at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, September 8, 2017. A Final Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Interment will take place following the mass at Valencia Cemetery.
