Glynn, Clara Elizabeth

On April 25th the heavens welcomed a new angel. Clara Elizabeth Riggle was born in El Cajon, California to George and Catherine Riggle. She was raised in Glendale, Arizona and graduated from Glendale High School. She married John C. Glynn, while he was stationed at Luke Field as a pilot instructor. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1952 and then to Los Lunas in 1960 where they resided for many years. Clara was employed in the Banking Industry as a Bank Operations Manager until she retired.

Clara has six surviving children, Lieutenant Commander John C. Glynn Jr., USN (Ret.), Sun City Center, FL, Mamie A. Glynn, Concho, AZ, Jack E. Glynn, Animas, NM, Timothy S. Glynn, Chesterfield, VA, Ginger S. Jones, Edgewood, NM, George Kip Glynn, Farmington, NM; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Ella Hardison; Barden, Andy, and Eddie Riggle, and a daughter, Barbara J. Glynn.

Clara is a direct descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Judge Richard Stockton and two signers of the Magna Carta. She also descends from Saint Margaret of Scotland, King Robert Bruce and the Royal Stewarts of Scotland and is a cousin to Queen Elizabeth. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family thanks the staff of Los Palomas Nursing Home for the wonderful care she received while being in residence for over three years.
