Burgess, Clifford



Clifford Burgess (85) born in Stanwood, Iowa on April 27, 1932, passed away July 7, 2017 in Rio Rancho, NM with end stage Dementia. Clifford was in the US Army and fought in the Korean War. He was proceeded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Beverly, two daughters, Wanda Lokey and Brenda (Teller) Waters (Perkins) and his brother Jim Burgess of FL, who is his last surviving sibling of 13.

He moved to Alamogordo in 1971, where he continued building homes. He owned Burgess Construction where he built custom homes. When he retired, him and his wife moved to Rio Rancho, NM. His ashes will be buried in Iowa at a later date.

Memorial reception will be at the: VFW, 700 Highway 70 West in Alamogordo, July 29th Saturday morning between 10:00-12:00. We welcome all friends and family to come and pay their respects to his wife and kids.
