Dagoberto Ruiz Alonso Obituary
Ruiz Alonso, Dagoberto

Dagoberto (Dago) Ruiz Alonso, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home on November 11, 2016. He was born on October 3, 1937 in Madruga, Havana, Cuba, the youngest son of Diego and Tiburcia (Luba) Ruiz. He is survived by his wife, Miriam Ruiz; four children, Miriam Ruiz (Carlos Jimenez, spouse), Mayra Ruiz, Madeleine Ruiz and Dagoberto Ruiz II; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Diego Ruiz and Jose del Aguila; and his sisters, Arminda Fuentevilla and Ada Fernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brothers-in-law, Angela and Jose de Varona, Sotero Fuentevilla and Manolo Fernandez. He also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins and all those he adopted throughout his lifetime.

Dago was a patriot and a businessman, but most of all Dago was a family man and a friend. He felt as strongly about this country as his native Cuba and would proclaim it to anyone that would listen. He was an entrepreneur who started several successful businesses, last of which was D&B U Sell It. He was passionate about helping people, especially when you needed and wanted to start your own business. He was always there ready to give advice or lend a hand, but above all else he adored his family and friends and was surrounded and loved by them to the end.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas.
