Darlene Rachel Chavez



Darlene passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2018. She was born on October 12, 1970.

Darlene was born and raised in Albuquerque. Growing up she was athletic, loved to play sports, she was a talented artist and loved to draw. Darlene touched many lives and will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. She had a deep faith in God as knew the Lord as her personal savior. Darlene was devoted and caring, loving her family with all of her heart. She enjoyed fishing, riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, and she loved spending time with her son, nieces, and nephews. Darlene will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of Elvis Presley, and her love for dogs.

Darlene is survived by her wife, Stephanie Renay Chavez; son, Marcos Andres Chavez; her father, Demetrio Chavez; her mother, Rachel Bustillos; brother, Paul and (wife) Hayley Chavez; sister, Raquel Bustillos; nieces and nephews, Dylan Chavez, Makayla Chavez, Tyson Bustillos, and Isabel Chavez. Darlene is also survived by many beloved Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 16tj. at 11:00 a.m. at St. John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. Reception will follow from 2-4pm at Moose Lodge, 2121 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
