Davenport, Darrell Richard

Darrell Davenport, Father, Brother, Uncle and loved friend passed away on the morning of December 21, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Darrell was a graduate of Highland High School, the University of New Mexico and proudly served in the United States Navy. A talented artist and photographer, he loved nature and, in retirement, spent much of his time outdoors with camera in hand for capturing a droplet of fresh rain on a tender leaf; the splendor of color on a single delicate petal. He was an avid reader. His book collection touched every genre and his curiosity and quest for learning was prominent throughout his life.

He is survived by his son, Michael Davenport of Albuquerque and Los Angeles; his brother, Jay Davenport and wife Jolene of Albuquerque; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends who will miss his kindness, calm concern and love.

At his request no traditional services were held. Please forward any intended memorials, contributions or bequests to .
