David W. Perry

David W. Perry, 84, of Albuquerque, passed away on January 11, 2018.

David was born on January 28, 1933, in Man, West Virginia, to Madeline Weddington and M. Paul Perry. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1950. David graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1951, then received a bachelor's degree in geology from Texas Christian University. While considering several job offers in his field, he was drafted and served in Libya.

David founded Perry Supply Company in 1958 and often said the business was his first child. He married Jane Giles in 1963. They were married 54 years and had two children, David and Sandra, who both became part of the business. He devoted 36 years to Perry Supply. Then he pursued his dream and had a cattle ranch in Tishomingo, OK. After several years, he returned to Perry Supply, which is still operating today.

David was preceded in death by grandparents, Ross and Roxie Perry, Samuel and Matilda Weddington, and Dad Cobb; parents, M. Paul and Madeline Perry; aunt, Sadie Mitchell; sister, Patricia Clendenin; son, David Perry; son-in-law, Doug Crumley; and grandchildren, Charlie Crumley and Larissa Perry. He is survived by his wife, Jane Giles Perry; daughter, Sandra Crumley and her son, Douglas; grandson, Dave Perry, his wife, Katelyn and their daughter, Hazel, who is David's first great-grandchild; daughter-outlaw, Michele Lockmiller and husband, Ron; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Sacramento Camp and Conference Center at 10 Assembly Circle, Sacramento, NM 88347.

The Perry family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Harvey White, who was David's dedicated physician and friend for 14 years, Rust Presbyterian Hospital and Anna Kaseman Hospice for David's final care. Please visit our online guestbook for David at
