Debra Diane De La Peña

Debra Diane De La Peña, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018.

Debra was best known as Debbie to the ones she loved. Debbie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1962 to Milton and Henrietta Sanchez.

She attended Western New Mexico University, then Southern Illinois University where she received an associate of liberal arts degree. Debbie worked many years in California, Arizona and Colorado. She returned home to New Mexico, where she worked as a Dispatcher for APS Security. Debbie was a giving and kind person; she was always helping others that were less fortunate. Debbie even spent several years helping her father when he became disabled. When she was not giving back, she loved to travel and explore new places. Debbie always had an amazing spirit and will be deeply missed. She survived by her husband Julio De La Peña; Parents Milton and Henrietta Sanchez; and Brother Mark.

Debbie also survived by many loving aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends. All services are planned for Friday, July 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church in Belen, New Mexico.

A public viewing will began at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30

a.m., cremation to follow services. Pallbearers are Mark Sanchez, Rick Custer, Alton Cisneros, Joe Montoya, Marquis Griego and Joey Lopez.
