Huntress, Diana

Diana Huntress, who made Albuquerque her home for more than 50 years, moved on from this life on March 6th, 2017 at the age of 75. Diana was born in Chicago, IL in 1941. She lived only a few years in Scottsdale, AZ where she graduated High School, married and had her first child, Cathy. In 1964, she moved to Albuquerque where she would make a new life and eventually remarry and have a second child, Aaron. Diana's new life in Albuquerque would include writing and poetry, photography, real estate, and spiritual journeys. Published in 2014, her book "I Have Another Life" is a beautiful collection of poetry written throughout her life. Her Sufi path came second only to her family, though she never hesitated to offer her friendship to anyone who came through her life.

She is survived by her brother John, her son Aaron, her two grandchildren Emily and Eric, and countless friendships that she held so close to her heart.

Gifts of remembrance to be given to her spiritual school, MTO Shahmaghsoudi of Albuquerque. A memorial party will be held at Monroe's on Osuna April 15th at 2pm.
