Diane Pierce



Diane Pierce, age 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Pierce; children, Sheri Pritchard and Robert Pierce and wife, Drichelle; grandchildren, Mitchell, Mikayla, Dax, and Jesse; numerous other relatives; and many friends. Her mother, Coral Stupp died on January 16, 2018. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Carl Stupp; and brother, Tom Stupp.

She was born in 1945 in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Southwest High School. Diane then attended the University of New Mexico where she received her BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Music Education. She taught for APS for 21 years, retiring in 1997. During that time her most beloved years were spent teaching chorus and exploratory music at John Adams Middle School. Diane enjoyed performing in musical productions, reading, entertaining, painting with watercolors, singing, and more than anything, spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong Christian belief and sponsored youth groups with John for 30 years. Diane was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's UMC, 2626 Arizona NE. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Please visit our online guestbook for Diane at
