Edith M. Johnson



Edith Margaret (Bilby) Johnson entered the kingdom of our Lord on February 23rd, 2018 at 91 years of age. She was at peace in her sleep when she succumbed to Parkinson's disease.

Born in Detroit, MI to Allister and Euphemia Bilby on August 21, 1926, she lived in Detroit, Albuquerque, Denver, Battle Ground, WA, and Boise, ID. She was the proud mother of seven children, Stephen (Pam), Thomas, Matthew (Kathy), Timothy, Peter (Denise), and Amy (Brian).

She is survived by her sister, Alice Nelson; her grandchildren, Joyce, Michelle, Ian, Liam, Briana, Davey, Mikey, Kelsey, Desiree; and her great-grandson, Daniel. Her parents, her husband Norman, son David and grandson Colby preceded her in death.

A devout Lutheran in the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, she was a long-time member and served on the boards of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) in many officer positions in New Mexico, Colorado, Washington and Idaho. She was also a member of the General Federation of Women's Club (GFWC) in Vancouver and Boise.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 1406 W. Cherry Ln. in Meridian on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Remembrances may be left for the family at
