Edward Baca Obituary
Baca, Edward

Eddie (Cadillac) Baca passed away peacefully at his Albuquerque home on May 11, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM, surrounded by his family. He was 75.

Edward was born on July 4, 1941 in Socorro, NM to his parents, Robert B. and Teresita Torres Baca. He graduated from Socorro High School in 1959. In 1961, he married Patsy Peralta, and were married for 40 years. In 1959, they moved to Wichita Falls, TX, where Eddie was enlisted in the United States Air Force. Eddie and family settled in Albuquerque, where he resided for 47 years. He worked for the State Highway Dept. and retired in 2004. Ed managed the NM band, MANO, with Richard Gonzales in 1970.

Born on July 4th, Eddie said he came into the world with a "bang". Ed loved making others laugh and had a terrific sense of humor. He loved to dance, sing, and was always the life of the party. Eddie loved his family dearly, and once you became Eddie's friend, you never forgot him.

Mr. Baca is survived by his sons, Tony, and Joey, daughters in-law Margaret, and Sherri, all residents of Albuquerque. His brother, David Baca; his sisters and their husbands, Theresa and Manny Rios; Maryetta and Rey Serna, all from Socorro, NM; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, also many great nephews, nieces and several God children.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B Baca, and Teresita Torres Baca; his beautiful wife, Patsy Peralta Baca; his brother Bobby Baca; his sister-in-law, Frances R Baca; dear friend, Marie Garcia; his nieces, Janis Schwartzenberg, and Julie A. Serna Gonzales.
