Bischoff, Eleanor



Eleanor Bischoff, 81, was called home February 15 ending her fight of several years with Alzheimer's.

Born and raised in Dearborn, MI, Mrs. Bischoff married her husband Ernest in 1957 and moved to Deerfield, IL where they resided until coming to Albuquerque in 2014 to live with their son Michael and daughter-in-law Kellie. She is also survived by sons William of Garland, TX, Robert of Gurnee, IL, and David of Kankakee, IL. She volunteered for many years at the VA Hospital in North Chicago, IL through the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a long-time member and volunteer with the Kankakee Association for the Mentally Retarded. She loved all animals, especially her cats, chocolate, traveling, clouds, chocolate, nature, her stuffed animal collection, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and chocolate.

Memorial service will be at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria NE, Saturday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m. A memorial service and final interment in Illinois will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kankakee Association for the Mentally Retarded, 5901 Willow Court, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
