Clinton, Ernest Paul "Charlie"

Ernest Paul "Charlie" Clinton, age 80.

On 12/28, at 12:28pm, we lost our father, husband, grandpa, brother, and friend. The timing is fitting as he was a master of numbers. Death came on sudden and happened fast….just the way he did everything in life. He was smart as hell, generous to a fault and had a sharp wit. He was a great man and he was fortunate to experience true love with his wife of 59 years, Freda. She held his hand as he passed. In his last hours, he was surrounded by those who were most important to him, his family. We are deeply saddened but we will celebrate his long, full life. A life that took him from his hometown near Boston to the Rio Grande Valley in New Mexico. He met his true love Freda, while in the Army stationed at Sandia Base. He brought his "Boston Strong" attitude to the southwest and carved out a storybook life for his family. He was an entrepreneur and operated his own business in Albuquerque for over 34 years. He made many lifelong friends in Albuquerque and Belen, where he resided.

Paul is survived by his wife, Freda; his three children Michael, Geraldine (Deenie), and Sandra; his two grandchildren Julianne and Jaron; his daughter-in-law Joyce; his son-in-law Richard; his sister Pauline: his brother Bobby and numerus nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Beverly and his parents Rose and Ernie. Private services were held in Phoenix and will be held in New Mexico later this spring.
