Mom was the most loving, giving and understanding person we all knew.

On Sunday, June 5, 2016, surrounded by loved ones, Evelyn passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Born in Hollen, NM, to Granville and Bessie Corzine, she grew up as a only child in Albuquerque NM. Though times were tough, that life shaped Evelyn with a strong work ethic and wonderful memories.

Evelyn worked for the Social Security Office in the Albuquerque Date Operations Center Records Operations for for over 25 years. Evelyn was very involved in her community and member of several organizations. And received numerous awards for her service with the Government job and other out standing performance awards among the community.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Bessie Corzine.

Evelyn (mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great-grandmother) leaves behind her two daughters, Sallie Walker and her husband David Walker and Sandra Parsons and her husband Richard Parsons; seven grandchildren, Steven Scott and wife Cindy, Bonnie Bates and husband Charles Bates, David keith Walker, Melissa Lopez, Leslie Gallegos and husband Ramiro Gallegos, Nancy Gallegos and husband Simmon Gallegos, Karrie Waid and husband Eddie Waid. Evelyn leaves behind 24 great- grandchildren; 22 great-great- grandchildren; a very special cousin Tom Corzine which she loved like her brother; and numerous family and friend she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at French Mortuary - University, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. The church service will be on Saturday, June 11th at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave, SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. The burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
