Luna, Florencio

Florencio Luna, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on June 1, 2016. He was born August 16, 1930 in Puerto de Luna, NM.

He attended school in Santa Rosa, NM and soon after the family moved to Albuquerque. He was drafted into the Armed Services and served two years in the Army. Soon after his return, Florencio married Cleo Gallegos at St. Therese of the Little Flower July 21, 1956. He was a proud member of Local 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 55 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Cleo; parents, Prudencio and Andreita; siblings, Jose, Lorenzo, Henry, Thomas, Ramona, and Augustina. He is survived by his sister Terry (Nash); children, David (Elaine), Gloria (Alan), Kenny (Dorothy), Doris (Harry), Edwin (Loretta), Melba (Rick), and Gary (Diane); 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Florencio was a man of great Faith, Joy, and Love. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Rosary will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 6:00 pm at St. Therese of the Little Flower Church, funeral Mass on Thursday, June 16 at 10:00 am at St. Therese of the Little Flower Church. Interment will follow Mass at Sunset Memorial Park.
