Gabriel Ryals Vasquez

Gabriel Ryals Vasquez was called home on December 28, 2017. He was born in El Paso, Texas but has called Albuquerque home for the majority of his life.

A loving husband, son, brother and uncle, Gabe is survived by his wife Blair; parents, Daniel and Ernestina Vasquez; grandmother, Toni Ryals; brother, Daniel and sisters, Felicitee Jones and Krystle Loski; and five loving nieces and four nephews.

Gabriel attended the University of New Mexico and was an avid Lobos fan. Gabe was a life-long Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Dodgers, and U.S. National Soccer fan. Gabe spent many years working in parking lot construction for Accu-Stripe Inc. He was a member of the George W. Bush 2000 Presidential election campaign and served on Pete Domenici's 2002 Senatorial Campaign. While in school Gabe was politically active as a volunteer for the New Mexico Republican Party. His greatest joy in life was his loving wife and watching and following his favorite sports teams.

A rosary in Gabe's honor will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Monday, January 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staffs of Presbyterian Health Care Services for their countless hours of support, care and dedication over the many years in which Gabe trusted them with his care and well-being. In lieu of flowers, Gabe always wanted citizens to donate and support local community based charities that care for children. Please make a donation to St. Jude's in Gabe's name.
