Rodarte, Gilbert Raul

Gilbert Raul Rodarte went home peacefully to the Lord on June 6, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born on February 10, 1935 to David and Ysabelle Rodarte. During his childhood he resided in Alameda, New Mexico and graduated from Albuquerque High School.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952 and served during the Korean War. In 1962 he married the love of his life, Frances C. Rodarte. They resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 49 years.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his loving wife in May of 2016. He is survived by his four children, Marty Rodarte, Theresa Archuleta, Diane and Bryan Nigg, Daniel and Angela Rodarte; his grandchildren, Timothy and Katherine Archuleta, Andrew and Monica Archuleta, Christopher Nigg, Taylor Nigg and Nicole Rodarte; his great grandchildren Ariel and Benjamin Archuleta. He is also survived by his three sisters, Marci Boden, Rose Boehme, and Sandra Sanchez and her husband Manuel, and dear friend Valli Jenkins as well as many other family and friends. He always loved being around his family and friends and would help out whenever he could. We will miss all the stories he would tell about his childhood. We will greatly miss him.

A memorial service will be held for Gilbert on Friday, June 30, 2016 at Holy Ghost Church, 833 Arizona St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 at 9:30am
