Rockwell, Grace

Beloved mother, and grandmother, Grace Rockwell passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at the age of 82.

She was born to Pancracio and Manauelita Gonzales in 1934, one of nine children in the village of Tijeras Canyon, NM.

Grace was a wonderful person who lived her life on her own terms..she was strong, determined, and fearless, her family and friends were always entertained by her quick wit, and fiery responses to any conversation.. she loved to debate sports and politics ! Her family knew without a doubt, they could count on her for support and guidance..she never faltered in her faith in God, and truly loved her grandchildren, they were her life's concern and main source of happiness.

Grace held a few different jobs in support of her family, she said she enjoyed her career at Levi Strauss the most, where she worked her way up from seamstress, to supervisor.

She is survived by her only child, son, Jay Rockwell, daughter-in-law Valerie Rockwell; brother Benny Gonzales, in Las Vegas, NV; sister Virginia Armenta in Tijeras NM; grandchildren Shad, Clint, Aimee, Jason and Kendra; nine great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews she loved.

She will be greatly missed here on earth, but heaven will be blessed with her presence...
