Fingado, Henry Sherman (Hank)

Henry Sherman Fingado (Hank) 88, passed away on December 30, 2016. Born April 5, 1928 in Seibert, Colorado to Francis and Donna Galbraith Fingado.

He is survived by four children; Michael, Diane, Jana, and Laurie, 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his former wife Ruth. A WWII vet, Hank graduated with honors from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He worked in the Middle East and North Africa in the 50s, where he married Ruth Lawrence from N.M. Their first child David was born in Beirut. In 1969, they bought the Johnny Appleseed Farm in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, where they raised their family. He was a mining specialist in the U.S. and Ecuador in the 60s, a crew chief in Argentina in the 70s and 80s, and a reader/writer for paraplegic students in the 90s and 2000s. Hank was a loving father and grandfather. Before last rights, he was blessed to hear loving words from each member of his family.

He will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with his father and grandfather. Services pending. Contact
