Jane Elizabeth (nee Milnes) Rosin passed December 6, 2016 in College Station, Texas. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 12, 2016, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 220 Rock Prairie Road, College Station, TX. A memorial service will be conducted in Portales, NM at a later date. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.

She was born in Grayling, Michigan, on July 12, 1926, to Roy O. and Myrle "Peg" Milnes. She graduated from Grayling High School before enrolling in the Cadet Nursing Corps program at Grace Hospital and Wayne State University in Detroit, where she graduated as registered nurse in 1947.

She married William J. "Bill" Rosin on October 22, 1949 in Grayling. Jane went west with Bill to Clovis, New Mexico, where he played professional baseball, later settling in Portales, and becoming affiliated with Eastern New Mexico University. "Nurse" Jane was the Director of University Health Services for 29 years before retiring in 1986. They have two daughters, Susan, and Shelly.

Jane was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Portales and the Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station. She was a 60-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Professional Sorority, a member of the Portales Rock Club, the Retired Teachers Association, and the E.N.M.U. Council of Professors Emeriti (C.O.P.E.). Jane and Bill traveled extensively all over the United States and internationally.

Mrs. Rosin was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, of 57 years; parents Roy and Peg Milnes; and, grandson, Tyler Benjamin Clark. She is survived by daughters Susan Clark and husband, Tom (Lubbock, TX), and Shelly Wilson and husband Michael (College Station, TX); two grandsons, Sam Clark and his wife Lindsey and their daughter, Katelyn (Odessa, TX), and William Alexander Wilson (College Station, TX); and, her brother Roy O. Milnes, Jr. (Roscommon, MI), and numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Portales at 108 S. Avenue F, Portales, NM 88130 or Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station.
