Wiesner, Jason Michael

Jason Michael

Died unexpectedly at Scripps Memorial Encinitas Hospital on March 11, 2016, at the age of 21 years.

Jason was born in San Diego, CA and grew up in Encinitas, CA, where he attended high school at San Dieguito Academy and at the Army Navy Academy. When Jason's family moved to Placitas, NM, Jason attended Sandia Preparatory School, where he developed an interest in fine arts, graduating in 2012. He attended college at Alfred University School of Art and Design in New York, and later at Mira Costa Community College in San Diego.

Jason was a lover of life, kind-hearted, caring and fun-loving, with a creative and contagious sense of humor. Since childhood, Jason enjoyed meeting and conversing with people of all ages, races, and religions, and he brought joy to everyone he knew. He was a deep thinker, introspective, philosophical and spiritual.

Jason aspired to work with children after college. During his senior year of high school, he traveled to Belize to assist at an orphanage with children he adored and who adored him. He also had a passion for ceramics and was employed at a ceramics studio in San Diego, assisting with the painting and firing of pottery.

The most important thing to Jason was his family and friends.

He leaves behind his parents, Dr. James and Cindy Wiesner; brother, Brian Wiesner; grandparents, George and Daphna Smith; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many devoted friends.

A celebration of Jason's life will be held on March 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at The Crossings at Carlsbad, 5800 The Crossings Dr., Carlsbad, CA.
