Jerry Garcia, age 74, born in Albuquerque, NM on July 21, 1941, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home, on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gloria Garcia; mother Miquela Fuentes; brothers Joe and Benny Fuentes and Leroy Valles; sisters Jean Perea and Rose Tafoya.

He is survived by his son Andrew Garcia and wife Melanie; daughters Barbara and Eileen Garcia; sister Sheila Marino; granchildren, Michael, Mark, Kristin and Cory Garcia, Chondra and Chris Beckett, Celina, Isaac and Cyan Torres, Paul E. and Andrea Lucero; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry loved making people laugh with his contagious sense of humor. He enjoyed dancing especially to the oldies but goodies.

His family was the center of his world and his love for them was infinite.

Jerry never hesitated to help anyone with his generosity and huge heart. With open arms, all were welcomed into his home.

Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army. He earned many accolades during his service while in the military.

Jerry was a man of God with a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. His faith in the Lord was his strength.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. and a Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. Both to be held at San Felipe de Neri Parish in Old Town. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Marino, Ernie Marino, Deborah Stutler and Tabitha Stutler.
