Jesse James was born October 11, 1937 in Houston, TX, and passed away on January 4, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife Debbi White James, daughters Darla Meldrum and husband George; Julie James & partner Chris Fisher; son-in-law Dean Snyder; grandchildren James and Matthew Snyder; Maryssa and Tori Cessac and Andru Fisher.

Jesse was a life-long cowboy who rode bulls and broncs and worked on ranches from Texas to Washington during his rodeo years. He also worked as a chef and mechanic.

He went back to college at 62 and got his Associates Degree. After retirement he drove a school bus and until Christmas break this year worked as a crossing guard for Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department.

He never met a stranger and could learn your life history in a matter of minutes.

He is preceded in death by his daughters' mother, Darlene Trent James and his long-time friend and father-in-law Jack White, his parents, sister & three brothers.

Memorial service will be held Saturday January 14, 2017 at 11am at Raymond G Sanchez Community Center at 9800 4th St, Alb, NM 87114.

Honorary pallbearers include: James & Matthew Snyder, Maryssa & Tori Cessac, Andru Fisher, Justin, Joshua, and Cheyanne White and the children at Double Eagle Elementary.

In lieu of food and flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bernalillo County Government Office of Health and Social Services: RE: NM Summer Food Service Program, 1136 Gatewood Ave. SW, Alb, NM 87105
