Garcia, Joe G.

Joe G. Garcia, age 91, of Albuquerque, NM, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2016 with his loving family at his side.

Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran in the 1940s. Joe retired as a supervisor from Kirtland A.F.B Civil Service after 38 years of service. He later worked for the City of Albuquerque.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Garcia; son Morris Garcia; parents Francisco and Dolores Garcia; sister Aurora O'Neil; and brothers, Thomas, Frank, Johnny, Tony, Charlie, and Albert Garcia.

Joe is survived by his four children and their spouses Lilly and Raymond Segura, Libby and Rigo Pina, Daniel and Geneva Garcia, and Jimmy and Frances Garcia; nine grandchildren, Devin, Lauren, Courtney, Mia, Danielle, Amanda, Matthew, Chris, and Victor; seven great grandchildren, Alyssa, Matthew Jr., Noah, Nicholas, Josiah, Alijah, and Jude.

Pallbearers: Daniel Garcia, Raymond Segura, Rigo Pina, Matthew Garcia, Victor Garcia, and Gabriel Aragon; Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Garcia and Ruben Lujan.

Our father, godfather, grandfather and great- grandfather will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was and forever will be an extraordinary person in every way.



A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and a Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal, S.W., Albuquerque, NM 87105. Funeral will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
