John Clark

John Crowder Clark was born July 17th, 1922 in El Paso, Texas. He died on April 26th, 2018. He married Vivian Crozier on September 11th, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, six sisters; as well as his children, Peter Louis Clark, John Crozier Clark, Paula Brooks McDougal; and his grandson, Jeremy Brooks. Though many preceded him in death, many also survived him including his children, Maridith Dressler and Constance Warren; his grandchildren, Tisha Romero, Jessica Brooks, Krisstofur Dressler, Cody and Chase Warren; his great-grandchildren, Arielle, Mariah, Haelee, Jacob, Erin, Gaige, Jayden, Isabella, and Alijah, and his great-great-grandchildren, Eris and Neekoli. John was a generous man who raised funds for the UNM Lobo Club for 29 years. He was a rabid Lobo fan who attended all of the playoff games in Las Vegas and Denver every year. He was a salesman involved in selling his own real estate. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. John was a 45 year long member of the Old Town Optimist Club. The members of the club were his best friends. He also loved to go to Post 49 of the American Legion every Friday to dance. In his younger years he was fond of hunting and up until his death he was crazy about fishing. In the last hours of his life almost all of his family members were at his bedside.

A memorial will be held Monday, May 7th, 2018 at 2 pm at the American Legion Hall, Post 13.
