Torrez 'Little

Joe', 80, passed away on January 5, 2019. Jose was born to Jose and Emilia Torres of Mountainair, Torrence County, NM on May

15,1938. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, from 9-10 a.m. at

St. Therese Little Flower Church.

Jose was proud to serve our country as a US Army Soldier in Korea and later became an officer at the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. He was

mechanically inclined and when he wasn't playing his guitar, repairing automobiles was his passion. Jose is preceded

by his parents; daughters: Nancy and Rosalie;

brothers:

Antonio, Anastasio,Tilano, Filimon and Leo; sisters: Epifana and Carmen

Sanchez, and

Emma Laskar.

Jose is survived and loved by his wife, Frances; 1st wife Dora; sons: Michael

and Joey Torres;

daughters: Lillian Torrez and Susan and Husband Joe Raymond; Step-Son: Dean and wife Patty Mirabal; brother: Julian and wife Lucille; Sister-in-Law: Darlene Torres; numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
