Joseph Velasquez Obituary
Velasquez, Joseph

Joseph, born January 29, 1956, entered into the Kingdom of God on Friday, Feb 5, 2016. Joseph was very much loved by his loving wife, admired by his many friends, and respected by his loyal customers at the TRYed by Fire-Music-Entertainment / Karaoke Klub on George Ct in Edgewood, NM. The Musik Klub was on his Bucket List, thus his dream came true when he opened in 2012.

Everyone who knew him loved his humor- he was fun and enjoyed being a comedian- just loved to laugh and make others laugh as well! His fervent desire was to serve God by creating a safe place for parents and their young ones, to share delightful times singing, dancing, and enjoying each other's talents. Discover themselves kinda? He desired to be a motivator or an encourager; and inspirer or perhaps a mentor to the young folk - teach them computer skills by mastering skills utilizing music equipment. Build self-confidence and even learn speaking skills or perform DJ gigs? Try to give kids direction and meaning to their lives? Who can know the many ways God might use Joseph's desire to serve him. Time will tell! The Bucket List Dream was cut short when Joseph collapsed because of an illness he had been diagnosed with in 2009.

Joseph was a supremely gifted singer and song writer. He wrote utterly breathtaking contemporary Christian songs and produced several CD's. He especially liked to sing Nickelback's song Savin' Me. In the year 1982, he had been saved by God's Grace when Joseph humbled himself before the Lord with a broken heart and contrite spirit! Together Joseph and Joyce seemed to have fought the demons of Hades, being TRYed by Fire- thus the title/name of the Musik Klub "TRYed by Fire!" Joseph loved the Lord and he had experienced an intense spiritual conversion /awakening in 1982! The Lord turned Joseph's life around, upside down, inside out and Joseph never broke his promise to the Lord: he just kept marching forward trying to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Joseph was eternally grateful that God had bestowed him with the Gift of Grace! Father God must be well-pleased with Joseph's loyal devotion.

Joseph was a generous, kind, patient good man (the highest standard that can be achieved in God's eyes!) He was loyal, trustworthy, intelligent, thoughtful; had abundant Integrity, and he lived by principles and moral values! He simply had an over-abundance of kindness that he showed to all. Joyce says he was very romantic; loved to sing to her, hold her hand, dry her tears after sad songs and sad movies! Joyce sorrowfully mourns this tremendous loss in her life. Won't never be another quite like Joseph says she! Everybody will miss this wonderful amazing man. Joseph found favor in God's heart and now Father God comforts Joseph after his long hard valiant struggle for life, suffering unimaginably along his journey on this earth. There is a great celebration happening in Heaven, as he is joined with other relatives and friends who crossed over long ago. Joseph is singing with some of the greatest who crossed over just this year. Just imagine the joy!
