Gutierrez, Joseph W. "Billy"

Joseph W. "Billy" Gutierrez, age 73, beloved dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on May 30, 2016. Joseph will be remembered for his military service to our country which he proudly served for over a decade in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy which included time served during the Vietnam War.

He will also fondly be remembered for his love of attending his family's youth sports games, hunting, fishing and spending time at the Casino.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Pacheco; his grandsons, Ruben and Brian Pacheco. He is also survived by his brother Ernest Gutierrez and wife Antoinette; his brother Florencio Gutierrez and wife Lovine; his sister Rita Carpenter and husband Gary; his sister Lottie Lovato and husband Philip. He leaves behind several very special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Joseph also touched the lives of the morning Riff Raff Crew from McDonald's.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ernestine Gutierrez and his brother, Robert (Bobby) Gutierrez.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 am on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the Rosary. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 PM.
