Judith Ann Doan Veillon

Judith Ann Doan Veillon of Sandia Park, NM went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Judy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband and two sons.

A celebration of life will be held at Hope Church, located at 4710 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Judy was born in Carlsbad, NM to Gerald and Abbie Jo Doan on April 11, 1948. She graduated from Mountain Air High School in 1966 where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. Judy attended NMSU, majoring in English, and was a member of BSU.

Judy retired from Sam Houston University at Huntsville, TX in 2004. After 25 years of loyal service, her dream of returning to NM came true. She had such an obvious love of life and an ability to inspire others as she faced any challenge.

Judy is survived by her husband, Darwin Veillon of Sandia Park, NM; sons, Mike and Tom Taft of Houston, TX and Mobile, AL; stepdaughters, Pam Veillon and Katherine Bennet of Eunice, LA, and Columbus, OH; sister Jannease Espinosa of Phoenix, AZ.
