Miller, Kathleen Cornelia Sanders



Seneca, SC -91, wife of the late J. Whit Miller, died Sunday, July 3rd, 2016, at Lila Doyle Nursing Center. Mrs. Miller was an Oconee County, South Carolina native, born August 15th, 1924, to the late Joseph Cyrus and Hester Loucinda Addis Sanders. She enjoyed an extensive career with WestPoint Stevens, Inc., in Clemson, South Carolina, and retired with 36 years of service. Mrs. Miller was the first woman appointed to the Oconee County Planning Commission. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Seneca, South Carolina.

A lifelong Clemson Tiger fan, and IPTAY member for over 50 years, Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughters, Janice M. Duncan of Clemson, Kathleen M. Vinson (Jay) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Kim M. Vick (Scott) of Clemson; grandchildren, Mary Melissa Duncan Higgs of Seneca, Lexie Elizabeth Vick and Lacey Caroline Vick of Clemson, and Whit Miller Vinson and Garland Kathleen Vinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one grandson, Jackson Tyler Higgs of Seneca.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Miller was predeceased by brothers, Amos A. Sanders, Ralph C. Sanders, Joseph C. Sanders, Jr. and John W. Sanders; and sisters, Dessie Maryjane Davis, Eunice V. Davis, Agnes V. Finkenstadt, Vera Mae Sanders, Lois Ola Gasper, Irene Carolyn Sears, and Annie Elizabeth (Beth) Brewer.

The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church, in Seneca, SCâ€"Friday, July 8th, 2016, from 11:00am until 12:00 pm prior to a celebration of life service at noon. The committal ceremony will be private.

The family is at the home of daughter, Kim Vick, of Clemson, SC

Memorials may be made to Greenville or Trinity Baptist Church.
