Larry Lee Satarain Obituary
Satarain, Larry Lee

Larry Lee Satarain, son of Angie and Manuel Lucero and Gabriel Satarain was born on November 9, 1945, in Oakland, CA. He made his transition on January 4, 2016, losing his battle with metastatic esophageal cancer. He passed at home with his loved ones by his side after a 15 day hospitalization from Dec. 3rd to Dec. 18, 2015.

He is survived by his partner of over 50 years, Dan Warnock of Rio Rancho; sisters Patricia Jean Lucero of AZ, Katherine Harris and husband Tony of Corrales, Angelique Lucero Barrios and husband Armand of AZ; niece Brittney Harris; nephew Bradley Harris; and niece Ashley Kelley Barrios.

He Graduated from Valley High School in 1963 where he was the first Male Varsity Cheerleader in the nine year history of the school. He went to Cosmetology school and later moved to Hollywood, CA., where he than had a successful career in floral design, home furnishings, and the creator of a popular gift shop Environmental Decor in Hollywood, as well as a wholesale giftware line, Oh Hollywood. His floral designs led to weekly in home arrangements for Barbara Streisand, Mac Davis, Cher, and many producers and directors. Larry was entranced by beauty and found it everyday in people and objects as well as in nature at large. He had a keen sense of humor and spared no one-anything and nothing was sacred. He appreciated everyone he met as a friend and delighted in brightening their day. He will be missed by all who new him.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. Come share the Joy with his family and friends at 1308 Cielo Vista del Sur NW. Hwy. 528 and Cottonwood.
