Laszlo Zold



Laszlo "Doc" Zold, age 94, of Albuquerque and formerly of Las Vegas, NM, passed away peacefully in his home on March 30, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jolan; his four children, Laszlo Jr., Tamas, Ildiko and Mary; his four grandchildren, Megan, Tommy, Erica and Lisa; and first great-grandson, Jackson is expected in May. Laszlo was born and raised in Arad, Romania November 7, 1923. He obtained his medical diploma from the University in Budapest, Hungary and married Jolan in 1951. He immigrated with his family to the US in 1957 as a political refugee following the Hungarian uprising and established a successful practice in internal medicine for 50 years in Las Vegas, NM before retiring. He was a humanitarian and intellectual, a physician and sports enthusiast. His devotion to his wife and family will be remembered, as well his legacy as a fighter for justice and a champion for the underdog. He will be missed by all that knew him.
