She was also loved by Nick Morse; Char'let, Mateo, and Jaxson Garcia; Ana Kistner and Michael James Lucero; and Mark Kistner Jr.

Laura and George moved with their children to Albuquerque, NM in 1955. She was a devoted homemaker, involved in the Montezuma ES P.T.A, in each of her children's classrooms, and as a scout leader. She was an active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church, especially enjoying the sewing group. She was a founding member of Chapter AH, PEO, a women's organization dedicated to providing higher education for women. She served this chapter as president and in many other capacities. Laura ultimately became President of the NM State Chapter of PEO. She also enjoyed many years of membership in Cosmopolitan Women's Club, which included volunteering at the UNM Hospital gift shop. Laura's other passions were baking and playing bridge. Her wonderful Midwestern sayings and her great pastries and cookies will be missed but never forgotten by her family and friends. Dad, we took good care of her for you. Have a happy reunion!
