Strain, Laurie Lynn



Laurie Lynn Strain, passed away at 7:07 pm. on Dec. 24, 2016 at UNM Hospital, with her family by her side.

Laurie was the oldest of four daughters and was born on May 25, 1954 in Albany, Oregon but raised in Albuquerque. She graduated from Rio Grande High School where she was a Castanet. Laurie attended CNM and worked briefly in the Film Industry which she loved doing, she also loved kids, music, dancing and riding motorcycles.

Laurie is survived by her father Jerry Strain and his wife Joan; mother, Shirley Hainds and her husband Fred; three sisters, Linda Bilbrey, Rhonda Trujillo and her husband Tom, Sherry Clark and her husband Brian; three nieces, six great-nieces, seven nephews, three great-nephews and two great-great-nephews. She also leaves behind one uncle, Kenneth Nunn; two aunts, Judy Pilling and Betty Hughes; one great-aunt, Pat Lea; and many cousins.

There will be a private memorial for the family and close friends of Laurie to celebrate her life. She will be remembered as a compassionate, giving person with a good heart.

We miss her deeply, MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
