Born to parents Lawrence and Dorothy Ford in Trenton, Missouri, Mike was an Eagle Scout who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping throughout his life. After graduating from Trenton H.S. he attended The Missouri School of Mines at Rolla, graduating with a B.S. in Physics in 1961. Mike proudly served his country in Korea as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army followed by a dedicated 41 year career at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, N.M. In retirement he was a member of the N.M. chapter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, where he served as the chapter's President in 2015.

Mr. Ford had a passion for the state of Hawaii where he and his wife Lynn visited almost every year. Mike attended Calvary Albuquerque and Faith Lutheran Church. He will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband and father. A private memorial will be held for Mr. Ford at the family farm in Missouri where his ashes will be laid to rest.
