Leandro Lovato, age 76, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. Leo was born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, the son of Pete Lovato and Juanita Valdez on March 21st, 1939. Leo loved to play music, he enjoyed playing his guitar alongside his brothers in their band, Los Alegres. Leo loved to be around family, he always had a smile on his face. He had a lot of memories of joy with his girlfriend Clorinda Valles of 25 years.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents Pete Lovato and Juanita Valdez; brothers Sixto and Vicente Lovato. He is survived by his daughter Diane Barrales and son Andrew Barrales; brother Guillermo and Cosme Lovato; sister Angelina Lovato; and many nieces, nephews and a lot of family and long time friends. He was loved by his girlfriend of 25 years, Clorinda Valles and her daughters Helen Reyes, Roberta and Rebecca Garza and son Adam Garza. Leo was a special part of their family and he will truly be missed.

Leo will be cremated and his ashes will be taken to Fort Sumner, New Mexico to be buried alongside his parents and brothers. Services will be at St Ann's Catholic Church on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm located at 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. There will be a gathering after services at the American Legion Post 100 located at 424 Candelaria Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. "Fly with the Angels" Leo, play your music up in Heaven, you will always be in our hearts.
