Whenever I heard Mr. Felberg name a particular colleague or student, the name was always readily available to him. Not only evidence of the highly-organized catalog in his mind, I came to see him holding their names as a sacred trust, this commitment to memory the least he could do; and he did much more to demonstrate the worth and dignity of all humanity.

We so admired Lenny for all he represented and did for our musical colleagues in both New Mexico and New York... and all he did with his wonderful family to help friends when they could. The world will miss this good man.

Lennie was a wonderful musician and
colleague. He was always generous and supportive to those who had the pleasure of
working with him. He had an amazing career, especially in New Mexico, and was a positive influence on his students and a large range of many musicians.
He will always be remembered with great fondness and warmth.
