September 30, 2017

Lois E Smith Westfall Harmeson, 89, of Albuquerque, became Heaven's newest angel on Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born into this world on December 13, 1927, to Alanson Follansbee Smith and Mary Lois Ball Smith.

Lois was a well-respected teacher for National American University for many years, which she truly loved the calling. She was a talented and published writer, cook, seamstress, and a great wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and a good friend to many.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her daughter, and step-son. She is survived by her three sons, Kirk M. Westfall (Janet), Lanson J. Westfall, and John D. Westfall (Lisa), and her daughter, Julie A Head, along with her step-son, Timothy J. Harmeson (Brenda). She is also survived by her brothers, William Smith, and Edwin Smith, as well as many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews whom all loved her very much.

Lois was ready to leave this earth to be with the family members that had gone on before her; she missed them so dearly. Now she is at peace and we will truly miss her loving arms, her laughter, her wisdom, and her peanut-butter sandwiches. Goodbye to a BEAUTIFUL woman. We shall long for the day that we can wrap our arms around you again. Thank you for being our Angel.
