Duganne, Lorraine H. "Mickey"

Lorraine H. "Mickey" Duganne, 91, of Albuquerque, NM passed away June 30, 2017 at home with her family by her side.

Mickey was born in Wewoka, OK to David E. Harjoe and Nellie Ellis. Her parents passed away before she was two years old, and Mickey was lovingly raised by her foster mother Elizabeth Jacobs-Wright and the Frank Jacobs family of Holdenville, OK. Mickey was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Eufaula Band.

Mickey married Paul Duganne in 1953 having met each other while working on the Navajo (Dine) Reservation at Window Rock, AZ.

Mickey was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, her foster mother, and her brothers David, Francis Lee, Raymond, Sonny Boy, and her sister Betsey.

Mickey is survived by her son David, daughter Martha Ann, many Harjo(e) nieces and nephews, and in-law niece Jill Bulman and Dangel families.

Before marrying Paul, Mickey was an Executive Secretary. As a homemaker, Mickey was a devoted wife and mother. She found time to volunteer and serve in the different communities where her husband Paul worked.

When Mickey and Paul moved to Albuquerque after Paul's retirement they became involved with the Paradise Hills United Methodist Church and its varied ministries. She also served many years as an Election Poll Official for Bernalillo County.

Mickey was very tenacious when it came to dealing with failing health. She had much respect for her Fresenius peritoneal dialysis team of nine years, her NM Heart Hospital cardiology team and most recently her Compassus Hospice team.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 10,2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, with Pastor Jay Armstrong officiating. A graveside service will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery in Rio Rancho, NM. Please visit the online memorial page at
