Lou Edwards (formerly Margaret Louise Wiseman) February 20, 1932-April 27 2016. She was born in Greeley, CO to Hunter and Sarah Wiseman. She Studied and traveled widely throughout her life. She received her B.A. from the U. of Colorado, studied at Mexico City College, and received an M.A. in guidance and counseling from UNM. Highlights of her career include: Managing of public relations at White Sands Proving Ground and Mills College in CA; teaching English in Honduras and Chile; selling Real Estate; Award winning Counselor and Director of Career Planning at UNM; Instructor at the Anderson School and docent at the Bio-Park.

She married Bill Edwards in 1957. Together they worked for the Peace Corps in Chile, California, and Washington, D.C. She was equally at ease teaching children in the barrios of Tegucigalpa or at a black tie dinner with the Vice President of the U.S. A life long music lover, Lou sang with the Sweet Adelines, the Civic Chorus, and the UNM Chorus. With the UNM Chorus she sang at Carnegie Hall and various venues in Europe. Lou was a LOBO FAN attending every football and women's basketball game she could.

Lou was predeceased by her daughter Kristen. She is survived by son Mark; daughter Kathleen; son-in-law Tor Kingdon; and grandson Sorren.

Services to be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 22 at the NM Hispanic Cultural Center. She was a lover of life and people; all are welcome.
