Louis M. Pino



Louis M. Pino, age 86, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born in Magdalena, NM on May 10, 1931 to parents, Antonio and Luisa Pino.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Pino of Albuquerque; son, Michael Pino and wife, Sam of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Louisa Whitaker and husband, Steve of Albuquerque; sons, Emery Pino and wife, Laurie of Golden, CO and Chris Pino of Albuquerque; stepsons, Tim Schellenbaum and wife, Eileen of New York, NY and Jay Schellen and wife, Barbara of Los Angeles, CA; stepdaughter, Sue Schellenbaum of Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Stephanie McCravey and husband, Chad and their sons, Parker, Peyton, and Paxton, all of Carlsbad, NM, Jacquelyn Painter and husband, Zach and their daughter, Makena and their son, Owen of Arvada, CO, Valari Jinzo and her daughter, Sophia, Natalie Jinzo, all of Albuquerque and Audrey Pino of Golden, CO; grandson, Matthew Pino of Golden, CO; step-grandson, Eamon Schellenbaum and Ambrose Schellenbaum, both of New York, NY; step-granddaughter, Avelicia Schellenbaum of New York, NY; brothers, Sam Pino and Jim Pino and wife, Helen, all of Albuquerque; sister Grace Aragon and husband, Roy of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Robert Aragon of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Esther Pino of Albuquerque; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Pino retired in 1987, after 33 years of service with the accounting office at the VA Hospital. He enjoyed dancing and attending Jazz Festivals. Mr. Pino was extremely devoted to his family and loved spending time with them. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

A Rosary will be recited Monday, November 20, 2017, 6:00 p.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, 87122 with a reception to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 9:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
