Jarratt, Margaret Gallegos

It's funny the things you remember about someone after they pass. She always wore the most perfect pink lipstick. That's what keeps running through my mind. I can see her so vividly, her peach skin, raven black hair and her perfect pink lipstick. That was my Mother. Margaret Gallegos Jarratt was born the youngest of 10 children to Gertrude and Anthony Gallegos on September 23, 1934 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1952 - she was Honor Student and Cheerleader for the Lions. She lived her live to the fullest and never did anything half heartedly. When she loved, she loved with all that she was. When she gave, she would give anything she had. I would not be where I am today had it not been for her sacrifice. In the grief of her absence, I catch a glimpse of her in her Granddaughters - I see her Strength. Her Generosity. Her Beauty. She remains with me through them.

She is preceded in death by her Grandson Paul John. She leaves behind her Daughter, Traci Phillips, Husband Robert, Granddaughters Chandlar and Chace, Sister Mary Gallegos, Husband Johnny, and Brother Joe Gallegos of Spokane, WA and many nieces and nephews.

Mass will be held at Church of the Risen Savior Monday, February 27th at 10am with Inurnment immediately after at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Flowers for Margaret can be sent directly to the cemetery. Any pictures and/or memories can be sent to
