Martha Shock



Martha Shock of Albuquerrque, age 90 passed away peacefully in her home of 59 years from complications of dementia on Thursday afternoon, September 21, 2017. Her son, Robert, was at her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shock, former employee of Sandia Corporation; four siblings and her parents.

Martha is survived by sons, Daniel Shock, Robert Shock and Ralph Shock; sister, Alice Sands (98) and numberous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Martha was born on the family farm in West Virginia in 1926. She was a teacher at Albuquerque High School for twenty years. She started as a home economics teacher and later transitioned to teaching biology. She touched the lives of many students. She was very loving in nature and should be associasted with 1 Corinthians 13.

Martha will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is now at peace with the Lord, and is in his everlasting arms. She loved the song, Swing Low Sweet Chariot as sung by Johnny Cash.

Her cremated remains will be taken to West Virginia (almost Heaven) to be placed by her husband in a most beautiful country cemetery.

A Memorial service will be held Wed., October 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, 225 San Mateo NE, 87108
