Mary Silveri

Mary Silveri transitioned on February 22, 2018. Born and raised in Woburn, MA, she was the oldest of four children. She went on to attend nursing school in Boston and married Italo (Rocky) Silveri in 1946. They traveled for 20 years during Rocky's Air Force career until his retirement in Albuquerque. They were married for 64 years. Mary held several jobs while raising their three daughters and eventually retired from the Albuquerque VA Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist supervisor.

Mary enjoyed life. She loved the outdoors, and enjoyed walking, reading, and doing word puzzles. She could out-dance and out-walk most of us. Sing-alongs were her forte. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Mary never lost her Boston accent and her response to a request to go somewhere was "shuwaa." She is ready for the next leg of her journey. Her ashes will be with Rocky in Santa Fe, NM. We hope her next adventure is as enjoyable as this one.

Mary is survived by her brothers, Fr. James Menelli and Dickie Menelli; daughters, Laura, Janis, and JoAnn Silveri; son-in-law, Bill Slease; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
